Our marriage survived the design and construction of our new entertainment center!
The day after Thanksgiving, we picked up some 4x4s from Island Lumber. The plywood shelves were recycled from our wedding alter (which my dad built), earning it the appropriate name ‘Altertainment center”. The name sounds like we might be super counter-culture, no-TV or something…but clearly we are not.
It took maybe 15 hours. We stayed up into the next day. But then it was done, and now it’s like early Christmas around here.

Echino has done it again. An incredible fabric–heavy and beautifully designed. This bag is actually a Christmas present for my sister in law. She’s an animal freak, from a farm, and purple is her favorite color. I just hope she doesn’t visit this site in the next 3 weeks because the surprise will be spoiled. Shh!!
